Program Structure

  • Youth are exposed to quality music training several hours per week, with enriching opportunities to perform in diverse venues. 
  • Our musicians learn the music of the Masters as well as some of our own Pop favourites.
  • During daily rehearsals, our musicians get "snack breaks" donated by volunteers.
  • Graduates of the program volunteer their time to teach younger members what they have learned through the El Sistema program.​

Who benefits from these activities? Young people who:
  • Might not have the opportunity to learn quality music
  • May not have instruments available to them
  • May not have access to quality instruction, whatever the reason
  • May not have a place to play
  • May not have connections to peers who share the same interests
  • Want to learn
Aside from the music, valuable life lessons are taught, building student's self-esteem, while generating pride of accomplishment. Parents tell us this has improved their childrens' lives.
